Stock register is a free template to keep a record of the shareholders in a limited liability company and the number of shares that they own in the company. Limited liability companies are obliged to have a stock register and to keep records of changes concerning owners in the company.

A stock register (also called shareholder register) shall contain information about the shareholders and the number of shares that they own in the company. An shareholder register shall be retained as long as a limited liability company is registered and in 10 years after the resolution of the company.

Limited liability companies with shares that are tradable on a public stock exchange have an shareholder register held in electronic form by a centralized organization.

A stock register shall be established when all the founders to a limited liability company has signed the memorandum and thereafter shall all subscribed shares be entered in the stock register. A person who shows up a share certificate or otherwise is able to prove his purchase of shares shall be registered as a shareholder in the company. A stock register shall be kept available at the office for a limited liability company for all who wants to take a look at the register.
